If you’re interested in straightening your teeth and don’t want to wear traditional braces, then the Inman Aligner system may be a great option for you. This appliance is very effective in properly aligning crowded or protruding teeth. It moves teeth safely and quickly. Most patients will see optimal results within 8 – 16 weeks.
What is an Inman Aligner?
It looks like a retainer and can be inserted and removed like one. To help fit into your lifestyle, the Inman Aligner can be taken out for short periods of time throughout the day. Optimal wear is 20 – 22 hours a day.
A Digital Scan or an Impression of your teeth is taken. The Inman Aligner lab will use this to make a custom fitting appliance. Turnaround time is quick and once it arrives back at our office, you will return so we can try it in and ensure a proper fit.
After starting treatment, you will visit Station Square Dental in Oakleigh every few weeks. At which time we will check the progression of your tooth movement and make any necessary adjustments to your teeth and the appliance.
Are Braces Necessary?
Depending on the severity of your malocclusion you may not require traditional braces.
This system only works to straighten mild to moderately mis-aligned front teeth, not full arches. You will definitely want to see us so we can evaluate your bite to determine if you are in fact a candidate for this orthodontic treatment.
At Station Square Dental we’ve been providing exceptional care to the residents of Oakleigh for over 60 years. We look forward to meeting you and helping you enjoy a straighter smile that will last for many years.
