Fees & Insurance

Dental fees, payment plans, insurance options in Oakleigh

We’re pleased to offer a broad range of payment options at our Oakleigh dental clinic. We welcome payment in the form of cash, credit card or EFTPOS. We’ve selected our payment plan partner with the aim of making dentistry as affordable as possible for you.

We participate in the Child Dental Benefit Scheme (CBDS) for eligible children to receive Medicare bulk-billed dental treatment.

If you have eligible private health insurance, you may be able to claim back part of your payment on selected dental procedures.

Dental insurance

Station Square Dental welcomes patients with health insurance from any health insurance provider. Having eligible dental health insurance will reduce the amount payable at the end of your appointment, as you receive a rebate from your health insurance provider.

HCF ‘More for Teeth’ provider – your preferred dentist

Our Melbourne clinic is a ‘More for Teeth’ provider with HCF, Australia’s largest not-for-profit health fund. Visit our HCF preferred provider page to learn more.

For your convenience, Station Square Dental uses the HICAPS system so we can process your private health insurance rebate at the point of sale, reducing your out-of-pocket expense.

Child Dental Benefit Schedule (CDBS)

We participate in the Child Dental Benefit Schedule via Medicare, where eligible families receive up to $1,052 worth of treatments for two consecutive calendar years. Under this scheme the treatments are bulk billed for children aged 0-17. If you are unsure, give us a call and we can find out if your child is eligible for the CDBS and we can book an appointment with our dentist.

Veteran Affairs Dental Scheme (VADS)

If you are an eligible patient, you can access a range of services under the Veteran Affairs Dental Scheme (VADS). We will process this at reception when you are settling your account. Visit the dental services page from the Commonwealth government’s Department of Veterans’ Affairs to learn more and to see if you’re eligible.

Cancellation fees

If you don’t attend an appointment, or make a late cancellation, we may charge you a fee starting from $50. We may request a deposit when booking long appointments. Patients need to inform us two business days (48 hours minimum) prior if they wish to reschedule or cancel their appointment.

Dental payment plans

Whether you need a payment plan for general dental or cosmetic dentistry services or if you want a payment plan for braces and other orthodontic treatments, we can find a plan to suit you. To find out more and compare your options visit our dedicated Dental payment plans page.

Appointment fees must be settled on the day unless other arrangements are made in advance.
